The Central Iowa Apartment Alliance, CIAA, has notified me that they are planning on introducing some amendments to chapter 562A during the 2010 session of the legislature. Attached is a copy of their first draft. CIAA is interested to know what the Iowa Landlords Association and Landlords of Iowa think about their proposals. Perhaps you have some other ideas to suggest as well.
Send me your comments and suggestions. Changes to the landlord/tenant law are never easy, and it will take all three organizations agreeing on language and a strategy in order to have a decent chance for approval by the legislature.
