For most of us, our landlording experience is usually a smooth one. We have interesting renters, whom we trust to take good care of our property, be good neighbors to others who live close by, and always pay their rent on time. But when we hit a glitch, it’s often a big one. Just when you think you have seen it all, a new situation surprises even the most experienced landlords. Our program this coming Thursday, November 8, at the Longbrnch, will cover various fraudulent ways some renters have discovered to dupe the landlord. Did you know that even a money order or a cashiers check can be counterfeit?
Judy Stevens, an experienced realtor, landlord, and educator, will give us a fascinating presentation on various ways we can be swindled by clever thieves. The lunch buffet for our group will be ready after 11:30, with our program beginning at noon. As always, the Longbranch needs an accurate count for room set-up and food. Please respond by Monday morning if you plan to join us.
