As you know, this heavily affects landlords and rental properties. Amanda Grieder, SAFE-CR Program Manager, will discuss the progress of this program since its inception in 2013 and the pending changes. Landlords have worked very closely with the City on this, with many positive results.
The low-cost background checks have alone have given us a valuable tool in making sure we are getting good renters in our properties. Don’t miss this program and the important information that directly affects our businesses. Even if your rental properties are not in Cedar Rapids, many of these ordinances and policies are picked up by other cities in the area, and it’s always best to stay on top of current developments.
