OCTOBER 8TH LOLC MEETING: K9 DRUG DOG
COME SEE A WORKING K9 DRUG DOG IN ACTION.
Our October meeting will feature a CRPD K9 drug dog and its handler. The meeting will include a discussion of the costs, the training of the dog & and handler, how the dogs are trained to search vehicles, buildings, busses, luggage, and even drugs in open air situations including how the dogs are trained to use wind currents for detection.
The meeting will have a demonstration on the dog’s ability to find hidden drugs.
A continuing discussion will cover what drugs the dog can detect besides marijuana. Can they detect cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamines, as well as other potentially dangerous drugs?
A discussion on the procedure the CRPD uses to search an apartment complex for drugs.
How does a landlord make an arrangement with CRPD to have them check out your complex?
What is the landlord’s responsibility if the dog finds drugs on your property?
Come join us this coming Thursday October 8th at the Clarion Hotel and Convention Center to get these questions answered and have an enjoyable evening. I know you will find this a very worthwhile meeting to attend. We had a similar meeting several years ago that was very very well received..
The evening buffet will open at 6:45 pm, with the program starting at 7:00 pm. It is necessary that you email us at [email protected] and let us know if you are attending and eating. The Clarion needs an accurate count for the room set-up and food preparation.
See you all Thursday!
