A tenant is renting my penthouse unit in a high-rise building. When it rains heavily, a small area leaks. I taped a plastic sheet to the ceiling to catch the water. It seems to work, but tenant is concerned the leaking may spread. He is also asking for a rent reduction.
Problem is the roof maintenance can only be done by condo association. They say I am on a list to get repaired, but may take months..
So to what extent does a leaking roof make a room uninhabitable. It has happened on average once a month.
