I want to do all repairs and maintenance myself. I am just starting out and my profit margins will be razor thin. Is there anything that government mandates must be done by a licensed contractor in all cases? Such as load-bearing walls and roofs? Anything else? I can do all the plumbing and electrical myself, right? I live in Florida, but I would assume that these standards are pretty similar in all states.
