SSB 3068 passed State Government Committee late this afternoon on a vote of 13-2

SSB 3068 is a different way of dealing with city ordinances on occupancy standards.

SSB 3068 allows cities to keep a familial status ordinance, limiting the number of unrelated persons who could reside together.

The bill would allow property owners to petition the city’s board of adjustment to gain an exemption from the general ordinance.

We need to get HF 184 passed in the House by the widest margin possible.

A strong victory in the House would give us momentum to try to get the Senate to accept the House version.
