I am a landlord in Schenectady, NY. I just received a letter form the code enforcement of the city hall, they performed an inspection the 9 of October. The violation they find is that I did not registered the apartment for rent ( the second floor) . It is a duplex and my son is living , free, on the first floor. I was not aware I should register the entire house. What should I do ?
